Water Cliff Villa

First the positive. Julie and Dave were incredibly responsive to our needs. The house is located close to Cruz Bay and has incredible views and a great pool. Beds were very comfortable. But a house at this price point should have a stove that works properly. It did not have gas coming into it, so Dave connected it to propane but it did not light properly and you could not control the heat. The toaster was broken and only two of the rooms had hair dryers. The biggest problem were the ants. We had to buy Raid and use it a lot. This was our 15th trip to St. John and I have never seen ants like this! The main room is not air- conditioned and there are no blinds on the western facing windows so it is very hot in the afternoon. This would be easy to fix. We enjoyed our trip and the house, but again, at this price point, these issues are a bigger deal than in a less expensive home.

This place truly is a Gem. It is in an excellent location with a very nice view. Immaculately clean with lots of space both indoors and outdoors. The pool was a favorite spot to relax. We appreciated the use of coolers, chairs and beach towels. Dave and Julie, our hosts were very responsive to our needs. The only drawback that we found was the lack of A.C. In the living room, kitchen, dining area. At supper time the bugs came out and we were forced inside to eat. Due to the sun coming directly in during the evening and the heat of cooking, it was Very hot inside. We were not clear that 3/4 bedrooms only had outdoor showers but got used to it with no issue. Additionally, when it rained, there was no way to get from the common area to the bedrooms and back. This would easily be resolved with some umbrellas in each bedroom and the common area. Overall an excellent week at the Watercliff. Thanks again for a memorable place to stay and we really enjoyed our time.

Perfect Accommodations!
Water Cliff was perfect for our group of 8 adults. The house was well maintained and well stocked with everything we needed. The location was IDEAL, being close to Cruz Bay, and not too far from the beaches. The property managers were excellent, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, and ensuring we knew who to contact if we needed anything. Each of the four bedrooms were well equipped, and had privacy. We will be back! Thank you for a fantastic week.

Beautiful views of the Caribbean sea and convenient to Cruz Bay. The host/manager (David) was very responsive to all requests.

Wonderful stay in St. John
We very much enjoyed our stay at Water Cliff! The property is set up well to host multiple families or, as was our case, a family with adult children that want their own space, while making it easy and enjoyable to gather for coffee in the morning, a communal dinner cooked in the kitchen, or a late night game of Marco Polo in the pool. Views/sunsets are incredible with several decks for viewing, and the location was as close to town conveniences as we've ever been on St. John. 5 stars!!

A beautiful, spacious and comfortable home near beaches and national park trails. Outstanding view with plenty of outdoor seating. Host was great at communicating and provided a wonderful experience. Would stay there again!

Our extended family had a wonderful time staying at this unique property. The home comprised of two buildings built around a small pool with an AMAZING waterfront view. The house can comfortably sleep 8 (6 adults, 2 kids) and was the perfect spot for a memorable family vacation. We had two small plumbing matters that were resolved within hours. Be sure to keep a close eye on your food as it is expensive to replace on the island (the fridge was warm but we mitigated it with some monitoring, the sugar ants do come out at night). Bring your own bug spray and sunscreen (w/o the "toxic 3 O's which are banned on the island). We rented a car on St. Thomas and loaded up on groceries (Costuless, best prices for groups) before ferrying over. We saved a great deal by eating in. The few meals we did eat out were not worth the prices (Chicago speaking) but this house was absolutely worth every penny! If you're looking for a magnificent home for a large group you won't find anything more magical!

Water Cliff was everything we hoped for. Our family of 6 adults thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home. From the salt water pool to spectacular sunsets, everything was perfect. Julie and David were great and Kelley our check in host was awesome. Highly recommend this property and hope to visit again.

This is how it's done! We've stayed in many Airbnb's and this was by far the best yet. Julie and Dave were amazing hosts, the villa was beyond gorgeous, exactly like the photos! Very private, gorgeous views, great salt water pool, fun outdoor showers, comfortable beds, great kitchen and gathering room. Get's a little hot in the gathering room/kitchen in the afternoon, but with fans it was fine in January. We liked St. John's even better than St. Thomas and found it easy to get around. The villa was a little hard to find and the roads are straight up-driving on the left-but that's how you get that view! I wish we'd seen this place before we booked part of our trip elsewhere! Next time we will come straight here. We recommend it and were more than satisfied-it was amazing!
